 this is my second front page, i created using photoshop, and the font on indesign, font research can be found here

this is my first attempt, i had to do another photohoot as this picture wasn't good enough. You can find my othere photoshoot pictures here.

I liked the idea used in this photograph as it is partly focused on the shoe and has a blurred background making is focus on the shoe itself thus linking to running which fits in perfectly with my magazine





you see these types of pictures of processional athletes, it brings out definitions of their facial features with a logo or name next to them which focuses more on the name, i doubt i will be using this idea in my contents page.






this is a good example of picture that may be used to represent a page featured within the magazine itself. although it is a simple picture, having a close up lets you know what sport it is and it looks professional implying that the article about that sport will be positive.

Font Research

I fiddled with a variety of different styles and colours to try and make them unique.

I then picked out points that I liked about the fonts and went into a little bit more detail thus changing them around to get new and fresh ideas:

I still need to conclude on which type of font I want to header my front page. I will colour correspond it with the picture I choose to use in my final photographs to make it look presentable.

This is my final font. I chose this as the colours appeal to both genders and it is simple yet unique. This idea also links in with the research that I carried out, that is where the two colours fading into each other came from.

First sport photoshoot

through conducting this photo shoot i have learned that it is hard to get a good moving icture. i have concluded that i want to have still sport pictures in my magazine. i do not want to have a blury unprofessional picture as my main focus.

Sport photo research

My main idea for my front cover through my research is to focus on a person participating in a sport with a unfocused background to enhance the sharpness of the main picture idea. This is very similar to the pictures i have found online and i intend to use my research to take my final photograph. i have come to realise that i will not be able to photograph a runner unless they were at a standstill. This is because it will not come out as a good picture as it will be all unfocused and won't look professional, but tacky. I need to show my efforts by producing a good picture.

I want a boy and a girl to be on my front page to show either gender is capable to achieve great things in sport, But i will use stereotypical sports for them, eg: boys play football and girls do gymnastics.
